Children’s E-book Review ~ Blucy by Julia Dweck

I am beyond excited to be writing my first book review! Julia Dweck, teacher and children’s book writer, sent me a copy of her newest e-book Blucy in exchange for a post reviewing the book. I know I felt pretty special when I got her email and I love cats, so I really looked forward to reading her book. 🙂

My thoughts on Blucy:

Blucy is a beautiful e-book that would make a great read aloud for children at home or in the classroom. It might be too difficult for really young children to read by themselves, but the way that rhyme and rhythm are used throughout, the book just begs to be read aloud. This is the aspect of the book that would also lend itself to classroom use because you could use it as a mentor text when learning about rhyme/rhythm. I think any cat lover (or blue lover!) can relate to some of Blucy’s antics in the book or the beautiful blue shades and will be laughing along with Blucy’s silly stunts. All in all, a very fun book!

If you are interested in Blucy, you can buy it on Amazon for a pre-sale price of 20% off until August 12th. Blucy will be released August 13th!
